The People's Advocate criticizes the justice reform: There is an overload of cases, rights are violated

The People's Advocate participated in the Committee for Legal Affairs.

Erinda Ballanca said that reforms in justice and vetting have created delays in cases and an overload of files for judges.

"There is a small number of judges per 100,000 inhabitants and we are far from European standards. There is an overload of cases, which came immediately after the justice reform. Judges have an overload of files, due to the reform. The reform in justice has created problems in the protection of citizens' rights" , said Ballanca.
