The Book Fair opens today

The Book Fair opens today for all readers.

New publications, discounted books and various activities, seminars, awards, conversations with authors will continue throughout the 5 days at the Palace of Congresses in Tirana.

The opening ceremony of the fair will be held at 11:00 in the main lobby of the Palace of Congresses.

Part of the literary events of this Fair, which will take place on November 13-17, 2024, is also the selection of the best works for 2024, for the Fair's awards.

The award jury for this edition consists of well-known professionals in the field of letters:

Anisa Ymeri, culture journalist

Ben Andoni, publicist, translator

Ilir Baçi, translator

Ledia Dushi, poet, translator

Lili Sula, literature researcher, pedagogue at UT

Another activity of interest for reading enthusiasts is the Book Sofa. This is a literary format that has already been part of the Book Fair since 2021. Although still a "new" format, many authors, translators, and publishers have sat on the SOFA sofa to present their new books at book fairs or to discuss matters directly related to the book. This year the coordinator is Anisa Ymeri.
