The court appointed Pjerin Ndreu president of the Association of Municipalities, Voltana Ademi: Illegal, I will not withdraw!

The Court of the Tirana Judicial District has appointed Pjerin Ndreu as President of the Association of Municipalities on September 14 of this year.

In a reaction on Facebook, Voltana Ademi described it as a non-legal and non-legal decision, which aims to put at the head of the Association of Municipalities people who do not have the mandate for representation according to her, but who endanger autonomy.

"In the capacity of the Mayor of Shkodra, as the legitimate leader of the association, I feel extremely concerned about such actions, undemocratic. My effort continues. I do not withdraw, " writes Ademi.

FULL REACTION:

Today, in the offices of the Association of Municipalities of Albania was sent by Mr. Pjerin Ndreu, through an email sent by the Municipality of Lezha, the decision of the Court of the Tirana Judicial District, dated 14 September 2021. With this decision the judge has decided Mr. Pjerin Ndreu President of the Association of Municipalities.

I would like to inform you that the request of Mr. Ndreu to register with the Court, to usurp the Association of Municipalities of Albania, was rejected by a previous court decision, on June 21, 2021. With this decision the court assessed that the request of Mr. Pjerin Ndreu did not comply with the Status of the Association and the relevant legal framework.

With the same non-democratic, non-statutory and non-legal procedures, Mr. Ndreu resubmitted the request to the court.

Unfortunately, the judge of the case accepted the request and decided with an illegal decision to capture the Association of Albanian Municipalities.

This decision is unjust and illegal. Such actions, capturing and controlling the Association of Municipalities, by the Socialist Party, by individuals who do not have the mandate to represent, to be members of the Association of Municipalities, are contrary to the Constitution, the statute of the association, undermine autonomy and principles of democracy local.

Such actions defile every principle and rule.

Pra, edhe ato bashki, si Lezha, dikur anëtare të Shoqatës së Bashkive të Shqipërisë, janë larguar për t’iu bashkuar shoqatës politike të krijuar nga Partia Socialiste.

Gjykata Kushtetuese është duke shqyrtuar kërkesën e Shoqatës së Bashkive të Shqipërisë, për procesin antikushtetues të votimeve vendore të datës 30 qershor 2019, e shumë shpejt do të keni një vendim të qartë.

Veprimtaria e Shoqatës së Bashkive ka qenë dhe duhet të jetë një kontribut për të mirën publike. Ajo nuk mund të jetë një instrument në dorën dhe kontrollin e qeverisë.
