An Albanian citizen declared internationally wanted, Robert Gjika, 32 years old, from Berat, has been extradited from Greece to Albania. Gjika is accused of being a member of a criminal group that is suspected of illegally transporting immigrants, mainly to Great Britain, as part of the "NOMADA" mega-operation.

According to the Police announcement, the Special Court Against Corruption and Organized Crime (GJKKO) has assigned to him the security measure "Arrest in prison" for the criminal offense "Aiding for illegal border crossing", committed in the form of a structured criminal group .

Operation "NOMADA" has revealed a sophisticated network of traffickers, who organized the illegal trips of immigrants, benefiting from large sums of money. Albanian and Greek authorities cooperated for the capture and extradition of Gjika, while investigations into the criminal network continue.
