 The double crime in Korça, who are the two people who lost their lives

The police of Korça have revealed again the details of the double crime that shocked the city this evening.

It is suspected that Jorgo Prifti shot Emiljano Pine, about 40 years old, a resident of Korça, who died while being transported to the Korçë hospital.

The suspected perpetrator of the crime is then suspected to have committed suicide with the weapon of the crime.

"On 28.02.2024, around 20:25, in neighborhood no. 18, Korçë, "Koço Golniku" street, Jorgo Prifti, allegedly shot with a firearm the citizen Emiljano Pine, about 40 years old, a resident of Korçë, who died while being transported to the Korçë hospital.

The suspected perpetrator of the crime, after shooting the 40-year-old, is suspected to have committed suicide with the crime weapon.

Police services immediately went to the scene, where they found and seized as evidence the weapon of crime, the cartridges. The film footage from the security cameras has also been administered and is being reviewed.

For this case, a special investigative group has been created which is working to clarify and fully document the event, as well as to identify the author of the event" , informs the police.
