The former mayor of Himara, Jorgo Goro, appealed to the Supreme Court, where he opposes the security measure "arrest in prison".

Goro is accused of abuse of office and alienation of property in Himare. The complaint to SPAK was first made by the elected mayor of Himara, Fredi Beleri, and Goro was arrested a few days later. Goro was arrested on suspicion of abuse of office on two occasions.

In the first case, according to SPAK, Goro together with the Director of Land Protection and Management in the Municipality, Jerasimo Bashi, forwarded to other institutions forged documents for a property over 5,500 square meters in Dhërmi, without carrying out verifications, leading to in the registration of state property in favor of private individuals. Even in the second case, both of them, referred to the Prosecutor's Office, have moved an area of ​​agricultural land over 5 thousand square meters, superimposing it on another property owned by the state.
