Four men found guilty of murdering 26-year-old Albanian Anselam Senaj in Britain

Four people have been convicted by British justice for the murder of Albanian Anselam Senaj, 26, from Kopliku, who was fatally stabbed on 11 November 2023 in east London.

According to reports by the BBC, the trial held at the Old Bailey found Muhammad Saqib Khan (23) of Enfield, Muhammad Samiyul Miah (18) of Manor Park, as well as Zain Ali (21) and Ibrahim Naim (18), both from East Ham.

The incident occurred when Senaj was riding in the back seat of a taxi on Victoria Avenue, Newham. The vehicle was forcibly stopped by another vehicle, a silver Mitsubishi, in which six masked men were travelling.

Four of them got out of the car and surrounded the cab. Two of the attackers, equipped with knives up to 61cm long, attacked Senaj, who was fatally stabbed in the chest.

Despite the call of emergency services, the young Albanian man died in the country. Prosecutor Alexandra Healy KC said during the trial that Senaj, involved in drug dealing, had warned the taxi driver of his danger moments before the attack. "He clearly understood he was in danger and said passengers were going to kill him. Unfortunately, he was absolutely right," the prosecutor said.

The prosecution argued that Muhammad Saqib Khan inflicted the fatal wound, while Miah and Ali helped attack the taxi. Ibrahim Naim admitted being the driver of the Mitsubishi car, but Khan denied his presence at the scene.
