In today's session at the Court of Appeal, the judge of Kruja, Enkelejda Hoxha, demanded innocence, as well as the return of the seized amount of money.

The defense claimed innocence and that the first-degree sentence was given under political-media pressure.

A few months ago, former judge Hoxha was sentenced to 2 years in prison, while in June she was released from prison, after having served the sentence, where the time spent in custody was also counted.

The decision for former judge Enkelejda Hoxha will be announced on October 11 at 14:00, after she was convicted by the First Instance for "corruption".

The former justice official was arrested together with 9 other people because, according to the Prosecutor's Office, she would release Saimir Petani, convicted of murder, against the reward. According to the prosecution, she had also signed the release of several other persons convicted of serious crimes.
