The investigations for the former mayor Vangjush Dako are closed

SPAK has closed the investigations for the former mayor of Durrës Vangjush Dako.

The file has been forwarded to GJKKO with the request to go to trial, as Dako is accused of abuse of office in two cases.

11 people have been charged, while only one has been requested by the prosecution to dismiss the case.

Vangjush Dako was arrested on June 6 by order of the Special Prosecutor's Office with suspicions that he abused his duty in two cases.

 The first concerns the granting of permission for the construction of a building in Durrës in violation of the law, and the other issue with the tender for the coastal development project, which, according to investigations, was fictitiously increased in value 10-fold.

In total, together with Dako, 10 arrest warrants were issued, 7 of which with prison arrest and 3 under house arrest.
