The Finnish minister: I am optimistic about the integration of Albania in the EU

The Minister for European Affairs and Property in Finland, Tytti Tuppurainen held a joint conference today in Tirana with the Minister of Foreign Affairs Olta Xhaçka and the Minister of State for European Affairs of Ireland Thomas Byrne.

The Finnish minister was optimistic about Albania's integration into the European Union, as she said she hopes for the opening of negotiations. The minister called on the countries of the Western Balkans to help each other in the progress of the Justice Reform.

"We are pleased with your welcome. Finland is one of the supporters of EU enlargement. I made an effort to open negotiations for Albania. I am very optimistic and maybe we can all have hope that the negotiations will open. I thank you for the role played by Albania in the Security Council of the United Nations regarding the Russian aggression against Ukraine. BP countries help each other in reforms in Justice. I thank you for the support you have given us for our country's membership in NATO", said Tytti Tuppurainen.
