From Elsa Lila to Liljana Kondakçi and Zhusti / Albanian Artists Involved in Drug Trafficking

Singer Elsa Lila was arrested today in Italy as part of a group of Italian-Albanian drug traffickers. It is learned that an arrest warrant has been issued against Lila as a suspect in the involvement of drug trafficking.

However, Elsa Lila is not the only Albanian artist arrested for being involved in drug trafficking.

Liljana Kondakçi

The artist was arrested in Thessaloniki, Greece, in 2010 on behalf of the Italian state. Kondakçi helped in drug trafficking by escaping control patrols, arguing that she was a singer.

The Albanian singer had her first 'flaws' with Italian justice in 2006 when she was stopped at a train station transporting 3 kg of heroin. Liljana was known in Italy by the nickname "mom" so called by the gang she worked for.

It was suspected that the gang of traffickers consisted of 20 members. Liljana Kondakçi was released from prison in 2013 and returned to Albania.

Koço Devole

The late Koço Devole, was caught with drugs in Italy. The amount of the case was hidden in the suitcase of the actor, who was arrested together with three other Albanians in Bari, Italy. At the time, Devole stated before the Italian authorities that he had no connection with the three drug detainees and that he was with them by chance.

Devole spent 7 and a half months in prison at the time and was later released.

Viktor Zhusti

The actor was arrested in Greece in 1998, with a quantity of 11 kg of heroin with him. husti was sentenced to 18 years in prison, which he served in "Hanja" prison.
