A 62-year-old man was arrested in Elbasan after hitting 45-year-old AB, who was traveling with a motorcycle.

Criminal proceedings have been initiated against the driver of the motor vehicle, as he did not have a driving license.

"As a result of the intensive investigative and procedural actions carried out to clarify the circumstances of an accident that occurred on 07.09.2024, in the neighborhood "28 Nõntori", where a vehicle collided with a motorcycle, the specialists of the Road Traffic Sector made managed to identify, capture and arrest the driver of the vehicle, citizen HO, 62 years old.

From the investigative actions, it is suspected that this citizen, on the evening of 07.09.2024, in the neighborhood "28 Nëntori", driving the vehicle, collided with the motor vehicle with the driver, citizen AB, 45 years old, resident of Elbasan, and then left the scene of the accident. . As a result of the accident, the driver of the motorcycle and the passenger were injured, and their lives are not in danger.

Following the procedural actions, the materials were referred to the Prosecutor's Office, where the proceedings were initiated in a free state for the driver of the motor vehicle, citizen AB, 45 years old, as he was not equipped with a driving license.

As material evidence, the "Benz" type vehicle that the 62-year-old was driving at the time of the accident was seized. 

The procedural materials were passed to the Prosecution at the Court of First Instance of Elbasan General Jurisdiction, for further actions" , the police informs.
