The Vlora bypass is blocked as a result of the collapse of the soil from the intense rains of the previous day.

The 56 million euro investment did not have retaining walls in a good part of it, causing the traffic of vehicles to be blocked for hours.

According to News24, the mass of soil has been placed on the side of the road.

The collapse happened yesterday afternoon in the segment connecting Vlora - Kanina - Orikum. For hours the road was blocked due to the massive fall of soil from the slopes of the mountain. The bypass road of Vlora was built by the union of operators "GENER 2" shpk.

The government inaugurated the By Pass of Vlora in July 2022, but the works have not yet been completed in 100% of their volume.
