Teliti: Albania, the last in the region for the absorption capacity of EU funds

DP Municipal Council member Dorjan Teliti said that it is not easy to get funds from the European Union.

In a direct link to Ora News, Teliti said that Albania was the last in the region for the fund's absorption capacity.

"Like every process, like every relationship, it's like the work of a coin that always has two sides of it. So, on the one hand, it is a process which we want to approximate and we must approximate in every aspect regarding the legislation and the way of doing things, the format of the economy.

And at the same time, on the other hand, I believe these tasks are necessary, so on the one hand we have the good news that the negotiations are opening, but what we need to discuss is why the negotiations are opening so late.

Practically, we have been staying in the resort for 11-12 years. Albania definitely benefits.

The biggest benefit of this process is precisely the approximation, so that we can make Albania a European country.

We are geographically in Europe, but unfortunately when it comes to the rule of law, we often do not have European behavior. It is not easy to get funds from the EU. Albania was the last country in the region from the aspiring countries, it was the last country for absorbing the funds made available by the EU", stated Teliti.
