Tirana becomes two casinos in 5 star hotels, a third opens in Vlora

The government has given the green light to several casino entities in the country, bringing their number so far to three.

Their development came after the government earlier approved the area where casinos could be opened in the capital and then announced the submission of applications by interested parties (applications closed on 23 October 2020).

Recently, a second casino was added to Tirana in a 5-star hotel. Royal Eagle Casino located in MAK Albania.

The company DR Gaming Technology cila which has provided jackpot systems and solutions for both casinos in Tirana gives details on its website regarding what has been offered to you. The Royal Casino in Place Italia opened its doors in June this year according to publications made by the company that provided the technology.

Earlier it was Grand Casino Tirana opened in August 2020 at Maritim Plaza Hotel which started its activity by offering electronic games, slot machines, electronic roulette live games, American roulette or poker.

The third and most recent casino has been opened in the city of Vlora in another 5-star facility. It is about Marina Bay. The latter has taken the Maritim brand thus guaranteeing the condition associated with well-known brands while it is located in a tourist area such as Vlora.

Casinos of this nature, such as the last three open in the country, in order to obtain the license, in addition to some conditions that must be met by shareholders, also provides for the payment of an amount of 1 billion ALL.

On December 31, 2018 the government decided to close electronic casinos, sports betting, track racing betting, bingo halls and online electronic gambling. The only ones left in the area were casinos in 5-star hotels while the only casino with a 10-year Regency license (Youth Park, Taiwan) was given time until the deadline.

Television bingo as well as the National Lottery could operate within the legal framework. But while for several years there was a kind of forgetfulness of the sector, at least formally as informally gambling has flourished (this is also shown by the constant reports of the police). Monitor
