A 52-year-old man, who was serving a sentence in Fier Prison, passed away this morning. The victim has been identified as Artur Doku, convicted of murdering a person in 1997.
According to preliminary data, Doku was suffering from cardiological problems and it is suspected that death occurred due to natural causes.
After the event, the 52-year-old's body was transported to the morgue, where it will undergo forensic examination to determine the cause of death.
Meanwhile, authorities have initiated procedures for the full documentation of the case, while final conclusions are expected after the forensic examination.
