A 23-year-old Turkish tourist was arrested by the police in the city of Kruja after hitting a parking guard with a car, taking him several meters over the hood.


According to the official announcement of the Police, the incident happened on Saturday, when the 62-year-old Albanian guard, with the initials BD, tried to stop a group of tourists who were leaving a private parking lot without making the payment. In an attempt to block their way, the guard collided with the vehicle driven by Turkish citizen Y. K., 23 years old.


The tourist allegedly gave gas to the car, hitting the guard and then moved several tens of meters with the 62-year-old on the hood, until the latter fell to the ground and was injured. He is currently in the hospital, under the care of doctors.


The police announce that the perpetrator was arrested in flagrante delicto and charges have been filed against him for "Intentional hitting" and "Leaving the scene of the accident". Also, the Turkish citizen RS, 23 years old, passenger in the vehicle, was prosecuted in a free state for not reporting a crime.
