Today, the special court found Agron Qafa guilty and sentenced to 8 years in prison and Florenc Ccekrezi, arrested as part of the Golden Bullet file, to 3 years and 4 months in prison.

Their names emerged from Nuredin Duman's testimony as persons involved in several criminal events. Agron Qafa was declared guilty of "Theft with violence", to the detriment of Hami Haxhia, an event that occurred in February 2013 in the city of Durrës, carried out in cooperation as part of a criminal group.

Florenc Çekrezi was found guilty of the criminal offense of "Destruction of property with explosives", carried out in collaboration and "Unauthorized possession and production of weapons, explosive weapons and ammunition".

The Special Prosecutor's Office against Corruption and Organized Crime has submitted to the Court the request with the object: Sending for trial the criminal case in charge of the defendants Agron Qafa and Florenc Çekrezi. 

The trial of this case took place with the rules of abbreviated trial. At the end of the trial, the Special Court of First Instance for Corruption and Organized Crime with a panel composed of judges Eglantina Mikani, Bib Ndreca and Olkeda Lice, with decision No. 46, dated 19.07.2024 decided:

The guilty plea of ​​the defendant Agron Qafa for the criminal offense of "Theft with violence", to the detriment of the victim ****, carried out in cooperation, in the form of a
structured criminal group, "Perpetration of criminal offenses by a criminal organization and a structured criminal group ” provided respectively by articles 139, in relation to articles 28, point 4 and 334, point 1 of the Criminal Code, and his sentence of 12 (twelve) years of imprisonment.

The guilty plea of ​​the defendant Agron Qafa for the criminal offense "Structured criminal group" in the form of participation, provided by article 333/a,
second paragraph of the Criminal Code, and his sentence of 2 (two) years of imprisonment.

In application of Article 55, first paragraph of the Criminal Code, the combination of sentences and the final sentence of the defendant Agron Qafa with 12 (twelve) years of
imprisonment.

In application of Article 406 of the Penal Code, 1/3 of the sentence is reduced and the defendant is ultimately sentenced to 8 (eight) years of imprisonment.

In support of Article 15, 16 point 1, letter a) of Law No. 81/2020 "On the rights and treatment of those sentenced to imprisonment and pre-trial detention", the defendant Agron Qafa should serve this sentence in a High Security Institution and the calculation of the sentence starts from the day of his arrest.

The guilty plea of ​​the defendant Florenc Çekrezi for the criminal offense of "Destruction of property with explosives", carried out in cooperation, provided by articles 152/1 and 25 of the Criminal Code, and his sentence of 3 (three) years of imprisonment.

The guilty plea of ​​the defendant Florenc Çekrezi for the criminal offense of "Unauthorized possession and production of weapons, explosive weapons and ammunition", carried out in simple cooperation, to the detriment of the citizen ****, provided for by article 278/1 and 25 of the Criminal Code, and his sentence of 5 (five) years of imprisonment.

In application of Article 55, first paragraph of the Criminal Code, the combination of sentences and the final sentence of the defendant Florenc Çekrezi with 5 (five) years of imprisonment.

In application of Article 406 of the Penal Code, 1/3 of the sentence is reduced and the defendant is ultimately sentenced to 3 (three) years and 4 (four) months of imprisonment.

In support of Article 15, 18 of Law No. 81/2020 "On the rights and treatment of those sentenced to imprisonment and pre-trial detention", the defendant Florenc Çekrezi will serve this sentence in a Regular Security Institution and the calculation of the sentence starts from the day of his arrest.

The material evidence will be available at the conclusion of the trial of the related proceeding that is being tried before this court.
