Shyqyri Elezi, the miner who suffocated in the gallery, where there was a gas leak, left by helicopter for Tirana. He received first aid at Bulqiza hospital.
The 50-year-old remained trapped in the mine after a gas explosion occurred while he was welding. Several other miner colleagues came to his aid, two of whom were taken to Bulqiza hospital as a result of suffocation.
The event took place at noon today at the Martanesh mine. According to preliminary information, Elezi is out of danger for life, but was sent for a more specialized service in Tirana.
