Vatican releases first images of Pope Francis after hospitalization
The Vatican released a photo of Pope Francis on Saturday as he celebrated Mass at the Chapel of the Agostino Gemelli Hospital in Rome, where it has been on since February 14.

In the photo, the Pope appears in a wheelchair in front of the hospital church sanctuary, at a moment of his spiritual devotion even during the ordeal he is experiencing.

Pope Francis' message:
From gemelli hospital, the Pope sent a written message to the faithful, stressing:

"I'm experiencing a period of trial, I'm on the side of many sick brothers and sisters who currently feel vulnerable."
He expressed his gratitude to all those who have prayed for his health, as well as for the doctors and nurses who are providing him with the necessary care.

The Pope also cordially thanked the 300 children who gathered in the clinic square in the morning to offer him a "symbolic hug."

His health condition is being monitored carefully and is expected to have more information on his improvement in the coming days.
