The murder of the 19-year-old Albanian woman in Montenegro, the author: Shejla's father hit me in the head, I shot unconsciously

The murder of the 19-year-old Albanian woman in Montenegro, the author:

In the High Court of Podgorica, the trial for the murder of Shejla Bakia continued this Monday. The accused Ilir Gjokaj continued to present his defense. The father of the murdered man, Shaban Bakija, was heard in court today.

As part of his defense, Gjokaj also presented to the court five pictures that he painted in prison, saying that the motive of all the pictures was Sheila's diary.

The father of the murdered girl told the court in detail how the accused, after breaking up with him, followed his daughter day and night and then the crime happened. He clarified that he does not know when Shejla wrote the diary and when she already handed it to the accused Gjokaj.

Shaban Bakija, the father of the murdered, Shejla Bakija, in his testimony as a victim's witness, said before the court that his daughter had freedom and support from him and his family.

"Never in our lives, neither mentally nor physically, did anyone in the family, not even me, abuse Sheila. Moreover, we had a friendly relationship. She had a little more freedom, even if it is viewed differently in our environment (conservative environment). Like any father, I also tried to guide him during the conversation," explained Shaban Bakija.

Asked by the court, he said that Shejla Bakija and Ilir Gjokaj moved to live in Budva and that he gave them an apartment there.

"At first they lived in his house. They wanted to be independent. Iliri mentioned that he would sell the car, so that they could make ends meet... I said that since the tenant left, I will give them an apartment in Budva and they will not pay anything , the bill and the like, that they would be excluded from everything. They were there until the moment he called me to come pick him up. He told me that they can no longer be together. That was after five months," explains Bakija.

The father of the deceased Shejla presented several examples to the court in which he claims that Ilir Gjokaj followed his daughter day and night.

I kemi pritur bukur.

"I got into my car and headed to the center of Tuzi, and a tow truck was moving in my direction. I drove and stopped in front of the police station. I got out of the car, stood next to the container and called and shouted, I want to surrender but no one the police don't come out and I'm bleeding, I throw the gun in the container and that's how I go. to the fountain and wash there. I start walking from the fountain, I don't even know where, I just walk and I want to take my life. I go in the direction of the hill of "Decic, I climb it for a while and only then I could cry out loud and shout calling Shejla," said Gjokaj.
