New details have emerged from the tragic event in Thessaloniki, where a 60-year-old woman died after being stabbed by her Albanian partner, 46 years old. The victim's son told the Greek media the dynamics of the event and the relationship between the couple.

He revealed that his mother had been in a relationship for 21 years with the author and that until recently there had never been any incidents of violence between them. However, recently, the relationship had become strained due to frequent arguments and they had decided to separate.

"He had packed his clothes and was leaving the house," said the victim's son. According to him, the final conflict occurred when the perpetrator, who was holding a knife in his hand during a heated argument, created panic in his mother.

"My mother thought he wanted to attack my brother, who was there, and asked him to drop the knife. But he hit her in the stomach, causing her death," he added.

After the incident, one of the victim's sons attacked the perpetrator and stabbed him. "My brother's life is not in danger, but what happened is terrible," said the boy.

From his statements to the media, the son categorically denied that the 46-year-old had abused his mother before: "He had not touched a single strand of her hair."

Meanwhile, the suspected perpetrator has left the scene and the Greek police are working to capture him.
