The US ambassador to Serbia reacts to the indictment for the attack in Banjska: The perpetrators must be held accountable

The US ambassador to Serbia reacts to the indictment for the attack in Banjska:

The Ambassador of the United States of America to Serbia, Christopher Hill, has spoken about the indictment filed by the Special Prosecutor's Office of Kosovo for the armed attack in Banjska.

As REL reports, Hill said that the US is committed to holding the attackers accountable and that the US position has been known for a long time.

On September 11, the Special Prosecutor's Office of Kosovo filed an indictment against 45 people, including Milan Radoicić, who were part of the armed group that attacked the Kosovo Police in Banjska, last September.

The government of Kosovo described this attack as terrorist.

In an attack in Banjska in northern Kosovo on September 24, 2023, an armed group of Serbs attacked the police and killed policeman Afrim Bunjaku. Three Serbian attackers were also killed in the exchange of fire.

Milan Radoicic, a former politician and businessman from northern Kosovo who is believed to be in Serbia, claimed responsibility for the attack.
