The President of Kosovo, Vjosa Osmani, reacted after the serious incident in Leposavic in the north of Kosovo, where one policeman was killed and another was injured.

In a post on Facebook, Osmani writes that these attacks are organized by Serbian criminal gangs, against law and order in Kosovo.

Osmani says that such attacks prove the destabilizing ability of Serbia, as he calls on the allies to react and support Kosovo.

“Vrasja e një polici dhe plagosja e një polici tjetër në veriun e Kosovës, e planifikuar, orkestruar dhe ekzekutuar nga bandat kriminale serbe, është sulm ndaj rendit dhe ligjit në veriun e vendit, është sulm ndaj Kosovës.

Këto sulme dëshmojnë edhe njëherë fuqinë destabilizuese të bandave kriminale, të organizuara nga Serbia, të cilat prej shumë kohësh, siç është dëshmuar edhe me sulmet ndaj pjesëtarëve të KFOR-it, gazetarëve e qytetarëve, po synojnë të destabilizojnë Kosovën dhe rajonin.

Sulmet e organizuara kundër forcave të rendit të Republikës së Kosovës janë sulme kundër sovranitetit të Republikës së Kosovës.

In addition to strongly condemning this open aggression of Serbia towards Kosovo, I expect that our allies will support Kosovo in its efforts to establish law and order and preserve sovereignty in every part of the Republic of Kosovo.

We express our deepest condolences to the family of the murdered policeman and assure them that the perpetrators of these terrorist acts will not be able to escape justice.

I invite all citizens, institutions and political subjects to remain united at this time when Serbia is openly challenging the territorial integrity, security and sovereignty of our Republic.

As the President of the Republic, I have full confidence in our boys and girls from the Kosovo Police" , writes Osmani.
