The President of Kosovo, Vjosa Osmani, has raised concerns about Russia's intervention in Serbia and its destabilizing influence in the Western Balkan region, during an interview for TVP World.
She emphasized that these actions aim to create a "new front against the West."
Osmani estimated that Russia's goal is to destabilize the Balkans through Serbia, and for this reason, Kosovo should take steps to strengthen its defense capacities.
She mentioned the importance of close cooperation with Western allies to stop the destabilizing actions of Serbia, instigated by Russia.
" We must work closely with our partners from the democratic world to stop the destabilizing initiatives of Serbia, supported by Russia.
At the same time, we must strengthen our defense to be able to defend ourselves and contribute to security in the region ," stated Osmani.
She added that the strong economic, cultural and historical ties between Russia and Serbia could be used by Moscow to exert influence in a region that still faces major challenges.
