Rita Ora recently gave Architectural Digest a tour of her cozy Victorian-era home, located in North London's Primrose Hill neighborhood, explaining that her welcoming residence has quite the rich past.

“One of the main reasons I bought this house was because of the history,” the singer said in an Oct. 5 YouTube video for their Open Door series. “It was built in the 1800s, originally owned by an illustrator named Arthur Rackham, one of my favorite artists. He did all the illustrations for Alice in Wonderland, Red Riding Hood. The house has a lot of good energy."

In fact, the 31-year-old, who recently married director Taika Waititi, said she knew her home was meant to serve as her place of solitude from the moment she walked in.
