Four dead from bad weather in Germany

Germany counts four dead, including a 10-year-old boy, in areas that have been particularly affected in recent days by bad weather.

Serious problems exist on highways, where vehicles skidding on the road caused great difficulty in driving.

Problems and delays also remain at Munich airport, where passengers continue to have difficulties. Snow and ice in parts of southern Germany lead to tram service disruptions and traffic accidents.

Two men were killed on a highway in southern Bavaria when the car they were traveling in collided with a truck due to "frozen" roads. The same phenomenon caused many more traffic accidents in the Munich area.
