The incident in Skopje, Osmani's adviser tells the details of what happened

The advisor of the president, Vjosa Osmani, Donika Kadaj-Bujupi has clarified the details of how the incident happened with the head of state at the airport of Skopje, in North Macedonia.

Kadaj-Bujupi told KlanKosova that the Macedonian side in this case, the Macedonian airport security caused an unprecedented and unnecessary incident.

"The opinion is being poisoned by the media of North Macedonia with lies and untruths, they are pretending to present that the president has refused to put the suitcase in the scanners as they are referring to.

First of all, Osmani does not have any suitcases. I was there, we were together, and President Osmani, I say with full responsibility, has no suitcases behind her. Everything is behind a handbag ", said Kadaj-Bujupi.

According to her, President Osmani was asked to scan her handbag, which she said she passed through the scanner.

"The moment we entered the airport in violation of the Vienna Convention and its article 23.7, the president was asked to scan the hand bag. The Kosovo police, who were at the level of duty, explained to the president that according to international practice, not only in the region but also in the world, starting in this case also in the USA, and non-recognising countries around the world and in all EU countries - is never asked to scan the handbag. According to the Vienna Convention, it is a diplomatic bag. The bag has been scanned and there is no doubt about it ," she said.

Kadaj Bujupi also said that the airport security physically "attacked" the president to confiscate his phone.

"The president is holding the phone in his hand. According to all security protocols, it is the working tool of the president, in which security issues are also discussed, and in no way for any price, regardless of the trends that may be from other countries, the president does not hand over his phone because at that moment he violates it the law.

The president refused and handed me over to the scanner. They wanted to confiscate his phone. They physically tried to physically assault him, they tried to take his phone, confiscate it...it's unprecedented, it's scandalous, it's shocking", he explained the moment that happened the day before at Skopje's Kadaj-Bujupi airport.
