Tonin Uldedaj leaves PD for 'Conviction' of Patoz: One more choice for

Tonin Uldedaj is mandated today as coordinator of the Democratic Obedience in Shkodra and Lezha regions for the April 25 elections. He was unanimously appointed by the entire Board of Directors of the BoD.

Uldedaj is not an unknown name for the world of politics, as he was previously the administrator of the Shengjin unit in the Municipality of Lezha, and is the brother of Gjok Uldedaj, former PD deputy in Shkodra.

Earlier, he also served as deputy mayor of Lezha, and for 8 years was chairman of the water supply and sewerage board in that city. He has also been for 6 years vice president, 4 years secretary, and over 12 years a member of the presidency of the branch of the Democratic Party of Lezha.

After the meeting with the board of directors of BD, Uldedaj gave a short speech, where he said that:

"I want to thank the chairman of the Democratic Bindja party, Mr. Patozi, for the opportunity and the trust at the same time, to represent a right-wing party in the two main regions of the country. In fact, there are two regions known as bastions of democracy in Albania, Shkodra and Lezha. I tell the mayor that we will translate this trust into a mandate, and I am very sure of that. I base this on the part that we have been contributing for more than 15 years and we know those areas well, because we have invested there. "My opinion is that in a democracy people have the opportunity to choose, so the democrats and the right in these areas we will give them another chance to choose, and I believe that is true democracy," he said.

Uldedaj comes from a large family, with influence and numerous political connections in the regions of Lezha and Shkodra.
