Murder of Pjerin Xhuvani in Elbasan / Two deputy police directors arrested, 6

The Regional Directorate of the Elbasan and Korça Police Supervision Agency has executed by order of the Elbasan Prosecutor's Office eight security measures for police officers who were at the event of the murder of Pjerin Xhuvani, four days before the elections of April 25, 2021.

According to AMP, 6 police officers have been suspended from duty, while two deputy directors in Elbasan and Berat are under 'house arrest'.

Elbasan - The Regional Directorate of AMP Elbasan-Korça has executed the order of the Prosecutor's Office of the Elbasan Judicial District for the execution of the decision of the Court of First Instance Elbasan for imposing security measures in relation to investigations on criminal proceedings No. 477 of 2021.

In the framework of this investigation, the Court has imposed personal security measures "Home arrest" for:

- AN, 55 years old, currently acting Deputy Director for Public Order and Security in DVP Berat, suspected of committing the criminal offenses of "Abuse of duty" and that of "False declaration before the judicial police officer", provided by Articles 248 and 305 / bi of the Criminal Code;
- NP, 57 years old, acting former Deputy Director for Public Order and Security in DVP Elbasan, suspected of committing the criminal offenses of "Abuse of duty" and that of "False declaration before the judicial police officer", provided by Articles 248 and 305 / bi of the Criminal Code;

The Court has also imposed personal security measures "Suspension of the exercise of a state duty, or public service" for:

- DD, 33 years old, on duty police officer in the special force "Eagle" in DVP Elbasan, suspected of committing the criminal offenses of "Abuse of duty" and that of "False declaration before the judicial police officer", provided by Articles 248 and 305 / bi of the Criminal Code;
- BP, 33 years old, on duty police officer in the special force "Eagle" in DVP Elbasan, suspected of committing criminal offenses of "Abuse of duty" and that of "False declaration before the judicial police officer", provided by Articles 248 and 305 / bi of the Criminal Code;
- E.B., 26 vjeç, me detyrë punonjës policie në forcën e posaçme “Shqiponja” në DVP Elbasan, i dyshuar për kryerjen e veprave penale të "Shpërdorimi i detyrës" dhe atë të "Deklarimi i rremë përpara oficerit të policisë gjyqësore", parashikuar nga neni 248 dhe 305/b i Kodit Penal;
- E. M., 38 vjeç, me detyrë punonjës policie në forcën e posaçme “Shqiponja” në DVP Elbasan, i dyshuar për kryerjen e veprave penale të "Shpërdorimi i detyrës" dhe atë të "Deklarimi i rremë përpara oficerit të policisë gjyqësore", parashikuar nga neni 248 dhe 305/b i Kodit Penal;
- D.D., 30 vjeç, me detyrë punonjës policie në forcën e posaçme “Shqiponja” në DVP Elbasan, i dyshuar për kryerjen e veprave penale të "Shpërdorimi i detyrës" dhe atë të "Deklarimi i rremë përpara oficerit të policisë gjyqësore", parashikuar nga neni 248 dhe 305/b i Kodit Penal;
- B.K., 37 vjeç, me detyrë punonjës policie në forcën e posaçme “Shqiponja” në DVP Elbasan, i dyshuar për kryerjen e veprave penale të "Shpërdorimi i detyrës" dhe atë të "Deklarimi i rremë përpara oficerit të policisë gjyqësore", parashikuar nga neni 248 dhe 305/b i Kodit Penal.

The decision was taken in the framework of the investigation on the event that occurred on 21.04.2021 in the city of Elbasan, where as a result 1 citizen lost his life and 4 others were injured. From the review of the investigative acts, the Court of First Instance of Elbasan has assessed as right the request of the Prosecution for the imposition of security measures against the above citizens ", it is stated in the notification.
