The former KLA commander for the Podujeva region, Rustem Mustafa, known as Remi, was arrested. The news has been confirmed by Mustfa's family for RTK.
The former KLA commander was arrested by order of the Special Council for War Crimes. After the arrest, he was transported to the base of the EULEX mission in Fushë Kosovë.
Two months ago, Mustafa was a witness in the trial against Hashim Thaçi, Jakup Krasniqi, Rexhep Seljim and Kadri Veselji. He was the first witness to appear publicly in the trial against the KLA leaders.
Remi, who was a PDK deputy years ago, is suspected by the Specialized Chambers based in The Hague, of war crimes.
