"Juno" star Ellen Page, nominated for an Oscar has come out openly referring to her sexual orientation. Through a post on social networks, Page the Canadian has admitted that she is transgender, changing her name to Elliot Page.

The actress thanked supporters in the trans community for his help on her journey to finding herself.

"Hello friends, I want to share with you that I am trans, my pronouns are he / they and my name is Elliot. I feel lucky to be writing this. To be here and do this in my life ... ", Writes among other things the actress, adding that: " I like being trans. And I like being more. ”

This story of Page marks a historic move for a senior Hollywood actor. However, despite the support for him, there is also the fear of a possible harsh reaction.

The 33-year-old Ellen Page debuted in a movie in 1997, when she became famous in 2006 where she played the character of Juno alongside Michael Cera. 

 Most recently she (he in this case) starred in the Netflix superhero series "The Umbrella Academy".
