Bajram Begaj, the fourth president of the republic with a military career

Today, the Socialist Party has officially proposed for President of the Republic Bajram Begaj, the Chief of General Staff of the Armed Forces.  

Begaj apparently will be the new President of the Republic of Albania for the next 5 years and only the vote in the Assembly is expected to take place on Saturday at 18:00.

Based on his career, it turns out that Begaj will be the fourth president of the country to come with a long military experience.

Before him, Ahmet Zogu also served as heads of state from a military career, from January 30, 1925 to September 1, 1928, Alfred Moisiu from July 24, 2002-24 July 2007 and Bujar Nishani from July 24, 2012–24 July 2017.
