Absent from Erdogan's inauguration of Et'hem Bey mosque, KMSH denies

Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan visited Albania yesterday, where among the ceremonies he attended was the inauguration of the Et'hem Bey mosque. The latter was restored with funds from the Turkish International Cooperation and Development Agency (TIKA).

What was noticed at the ceremony was the absence of the leaders of the Muslim Community, which administers the Et'hem Bey Mosque.

Immediately in the media it was alleged that their absence was related to the voices raised not infrequently, that the Albanian Muslim Community in recent years is led by people who support Gülen and the organization FETO, Erdogan's political opponent.

After the allusions came the first reaction from KMSH. The head of the Muslim Community, Bujar Spahiu, indicated that they did not have an official invitation from the organizers of the meeting, from the Albanian government.

He also denied that KMSH had anything to do with FETO. He told "Gazeta SHQIP" that: There is nothing to allude to about our absence in the inauguration of the Et'hem Bey mosque. We just did not have an official invitation. We have nothing to do with FETO. We are Albanians, the head of the Muslim Community is Albanian.
