Arti Kola, 48, born in Albania, arrived in Italy from Greece about ten years ago. He brought with him his wife Jonida, 48, his son Hajdari, 22, and his daughter Jessica, 15.

She, the youngest, wrote poetry. Poems that "this morning", explains Gioia Giuliani, director of the Camigliano secondary school (Lucca) to "Corriere della Sera" , "are being collected by her classmates" .

"Jessica, as we called her, was a very sweet girl who was pursuing her school career with passion and dedication. She wrote, as many teenagers probably still do, and she had a dream. She wanted to become a hairdresser, like her cousin who lives in Padua," says her aunt Mira.

Hajdari was "a very sweet and hardworking boy. We spoke often and he had no other goal than to help his family and parents," says his cousin Durimi, who arrived this morning from Modena as soon as he heard about the tragedy.

The young man, who had studied plumbing at a high school in Lucca, worked as an electrician for a local company. "Never late, never an excuse. A punctual guy, a worker from another era ," says a colleague.

Arti worked as a painter. "They had arrived in the village of Rughi, where they lived, a few months ago. Before that, they lived in another area of ​​Porcari ," explains a neighbor. "They had bought the house three years ago and were slowly renovating it: it was almost ready. Arti was a good man who cared about others."

Jonida was a housewife who dedicated her life to her family. "She came to buy bread every day and was a very kind person: she never spoke, but always smiled at everyone ," describes the owner of the shop located more or less opposite the house where the tragedy occurred.
