National defender Elseid Hysaj has apologized after being criticized by fans for standing and lowering his head while allowing the Italians to score a goal in Group B of Euro 2024.

In a reaction on social networks, Hysaj writes that it was a technical and instinctive error that caused the second goal. 

 "After the match with Italy and the recent events, I feel like apologizing to all the Albanian fans for the technical and instinctive error that caused the second goal we conceded.
