The Durrës Prosecutor's Office has reacted regarding the investigations into the suicide of 41-year-old Bedrie Loka.

In the announcement, it is informed that from the statements received from the family members of the deceased, from the examination of mobile phones and other investigative actions, there are suspicions based on evidence that the detainee used physical and psychological violence against the deceased.

It is also reported that maltreatment, which was systematic, is suspected to have led the deceased to commit suicide.

According to the prosecution, on 05.01.2024, criminal proceedings no. 26, of the year 2024 for the criminal offense of "causing suicide" provided by article 99 of the Criminal Code, since on 02.01.2024, in the Operative Room of the Manzë Police Station, Durrës, the notification arrived that the BL citizen had consumed substances suspected phototoxin in her apartment and was urgently sent by her family first to the Durrës Regional Hospital and then to the Tirana Hospital Center".

Upon learning of the above, a search was made of the apartment of the family where the deceased lived, where "on the first floor of the apartment, a plastic bottle of water and several capsules with a cylindrical tube suspected of phototoxin were found, which are suspected of this citizen has consumed. Despite the fact that she was hospitalized near the University Hospital Center (QSU) "Mother Teresa" Tirana and under the care of doctors, on 03.01.2024, the BL citizen passed away as a result of health complications.

Immediately afterwards, this investigative material was registered as a criminal proceeding and, under the direction of the prosecution, it became possible to carry out investigative actions by the judicial police on the basis of which the suspect Xh.L. was detained as a suspect for committing the criminal offenses of "causing suicide", committed to the detriment of the BL citizen, provided by Article 99 of the Criminal Code, "unauthorized possession and production of weapons, explosive weapons and ammunition", committed through the possession of weapons in the residence, provided by article 278/4 of the Criminal Code, "unauthorized possession and production of weapons, explosive weapons and ammunition", carried out through the possession of combat ammunition, provided for by article 278/3 of the Criminal Code;

For the above, the Prosecutor's Office at the Court of First Instance of the Durrës General Jurisdiction has requested that the detention of this citizen be validated as legal and that the measure of personal security "arrest in prison" provided for by Article 238 of the Criminal Code be assigned to him. .Pr. Regarding the criminal report of the deceased BL, it turns out that a criminal proceeding was registered for the criminal offense of "Computer forgery" provided for by Article 186/ai of the Criminal Code, and investigations into this proceeding continue.
