The murder of Eraldo Nevruz, the author's car with English license plates

The police in Saranda have found the car of the perpetrator of Erlado Nevruzi's murder, which happened shortly after midnight in Dhërmi, abandoned.

Media sources indicate that the abandoned car has English license plates and is suspected to belong to 43-year-old Gerald Shehu, who after the crime hid Nevruz's body and fled towards Greece to be arrested a little later by the local police. Shehu's final destination was England, but he was caught by the police at the airport.


Until now, the full causes and circumstances of the incident are not yet known, while it is initially suspected that the incident may have occurred due to the disruption of drug deals in England where the victim and the perpetrator lived, or due to a momentary conflict shortly before the crime.
