The Kosovo Specialist Chambers, based in The Hague, found guilty and sentenced three former KLA fighters, Haxhi Shala, Sabit Januzi and Ismet Bahtijari, on charges related to obstruction of justice.
The court accepted the plea agreement that the three defendants had previously reached with the Specialized Prosecution Office.
According to the verdict, Haxhi Shala was sentenced to 3 years in prison, while Sabit Januzi and Ismet Bahtijari were sentenced to 2 years in prison each.
The defendants pleaded guilty to witness intimidation and obstruction of justice, after reaching a plea agreement with the Specialized Prosecution Office at the end of December 2024.
