Emily Ratajkowski accuses Robin Thicke of sexually harassing her during filming

Emily Ratajkowski has accused singer Robin Thicke of sexually assaulting her in a music video for the 2013 hit 'Blurred Lines'.

The 30-year-old American supermodel claims that Thicke grabbed her bare breasts from behind while shooting the video for the song. There she and two other half-naked models appeared, along with American-Canadian Thicke, Pharrell Williams and rapper TI, who were fully clothed in addition to the models.

The video and lyrics of the song, were accused of elevating the culture of rape, thus making this song banned in some nightclubs and university campuses.

Ratajkowski makes the accusations in her next book, "My Body," The Times revealed.

She writes: "Suddenly, out of nowhere, I felt the freshness and hands of a stranger covering me from behind my bare chest."

"He smiled and stumbled back, his eyes were hidden behind the sunglasses. My head turned in total darkness. I heard the voice of the director asking me 'Are you okay?'"

Ratajkowski said Thicke's actions made her feel "naked for the first time that day", but she was "desperate to minimize" the incident.

"I did not react - not really, not the way I should have reacted."

The director of the video, Diane Martel, said she witnessed the incident and "shouted" at Thicke, questioning his behavior. "I remember the moment he grabbed her chest. "He stood behind her as they were both in profile," she told The Times.

Both Ratajkowski and Martel say Thicke was drunk at the time.

Martel said Thicke "apologized" for his behavior and praised Ratajkowski's professionalism as she continued filming.

The director said she intended the video to reverse the dynamics of power, putting men in an inferior position after women ignored them and made fun of them.

Ratajkowski said Thicke's actions compromised any sense of women's empowerment. She said: "With that single gesture, Robin Thicke had reminded everyone on filming that we women were not actually in charge."

"I had no real power as the naked girl danced in his music video. I was nothing more than a hired mannequin."

Thicke's representatives did not respond to a request for comment, according to the Times.
