Prime Minister Edi Rama has proven several times that he has tried to intimidate the international media, when they publish articles and accuse him of ties to crime. 

Such was the last case, denounced by the German media 'DerSpiegel', after the publication of an article focusing on corruption in his government or links to organized crime. 

According to the German media, Rama called to delete the article.

" Faced with relevant accusations from SPIEGEL, the prime minister calls late at night and tries to influence the reporting: He perceives the accusations as useless, offensive and undeservedly damaging to his country," the article says. 

 The call to RAI 3

While for days Prime Minister Edi Rama and his Government had occupied the front pages of the Italian media for the links with organized crime, the mafia and drugs, the Prime Minister chose to attack the Italian media.

In April of this year, it was La Repubblica that discovered Rama's "furious" phone call with the director of RAI 3, and then his reaction, which confirmed this communication, but according to him not with rage, behavior which he reserved for publicly attacked the Italian media that published the scandals of his government, which according to the prime minister is aimed at hostility to the successes of his government.

After the documentary which revealed the secrets of the Rama Meloni agreement for refugees, and also showed the connections of Prime Minister Edi Rama's brother, Olsi Rama, with drug traffickers and exposed the new justice, the prestigious Italian La Repubblica published another news where he wrote that the Prime Minister EdI Rama called the director of RAI 3. 

The Italian daily wrote that as if the problems of the day on television were not enough, on Monday the director of RAI was forced to listen to the furious Albanian prime minister on the phone.

We recall that the RAI report has caused a lot of noise in Italy and Albania, as it revealed that the pact between Albania and Italy was drawn up for dark interests.

BILD interceptions

In June 2019, Prime Minister Rama declared that he would sue the Bild newspaper and its journalist, Peter Tiede, in Germany for publishing wiretapping that showed the involvement of top socialist leaders in the manipulation of local elections in Dibar in 2016 and the 2017 general elections. .

Meanwhile, the Albanian prosecutor's office launched an internal investigation to find out who could have leaked the intercepts of the investigation file, in order to emphasize the fact that the extraction of investigative evidence was a serious crime.

However, there has been no news about what happened with Mr. Rama's lawsuit against Bild.
