The chairman of the Democratic Party, Lulzim Basha, has promised the young people that with his coming to power he will limit the post of prime minister to only two terms.

During his speech at an FRPD event on the occasion of the 30th anniversary of the Student Movement, Basha said with conviction that a politician can not give more than 8 years in power.

"A man can not give more than 8 years in power. Why should we have eternal rulers, when we have a lot of young Albanians. Two terms are enough for governance, and then the way is open for the youth. The Prime Minister should not be elected for more than 2 terms. Together we will remove evil. "God bless the Albanian youth", said the leader of the Democrats.

According to Basha, the change that everyone wants and expects will have the stamp and signature of the Albanian youth, just like 30 years ago.

"It is enough to remember together that the rift happened 30 years ago in this country. We brought democracy, freedom of the press, free expression, and we are fighting to protect it. We are fighting against the constant efforts to silence the opposition. We managed to change the economy, from a centralized economy, making it free. We made possible the visa-free movement of Albanians. Remember how impossible it seemed at first! The vast majority believed that one day we would travel visa-free to Europe. I know many of you today are desperate and in the middle are waiting for change. This change, like 30 years ago, will have your signature and stamp. The seal and the signature of the Albanian youth ", said Basha.
