RAI Anticorruption and Investigation Commission, LZHK statement to the media: We appreciate the position of the opposition

RAI Anticorruption and Investigation Commission, LZHK statement to the media: We

Yesterday, the Assembly approved by majority vote the establishment of the Special Parliamentary Committee "For the deepening of reforms for good governance, the rule of law and anti-corruption for Albania 2030 in the European Union".

The Movement for National Development (LZHK), in a press conference of the two co-chairs Dashamir Shehi and Ekrem Spahiu, appreciated the position of the opposition bloc, not voting for the establishment of the Commission, as well as maintaining a unified position not to participate in committee with its deputies.

LZHK has declared against this commission and has not voted for it in the Assembly, considering it a worthless instrument that does not fight corruption, the statement further states. The current government has been in power for 11 years and has had all the necessary opportunities, institutions and mechanisms to fight corruption. There is no way a commission dominated by this government and chaired by this majority fights corruption.

"The program Report on RAI 3 has made an exhaustive x-ray of the Albanian government related to corruption and organized crime, which gained greater value also because the journalist made Prime Minister Rama answer for all the accusations that weigh on him and the state his.

He confronted him with the statements made by former Deputy Prime Minister Arben Ahmetaj, that Rama has strong ties to organized crime. He said that criminal groups clean their money in Albania through construction. They receive tenders through their representatives. They build by laundering their money in Albania. They practically sell drugs all over Europe and then pass them to Albania.

The Italian journalist emphasized that only 20% of the total value of the money for the construction of the towers was given in the form of a loan from the banks. So of the 3.7 billion euros invested in construction, only 846 million were financed by the banking system.

"Movement for National Development" reiterates that the country's political, economic and social situation is very serious, precisely because of capillary corruption and the government's connection with organized crime.

Beyond the very good relations that we have had historically and will have in the future with Italy, we see the Rama-Meloni Agreement as an agreement that violates a number of human rights", declared Shehi and Spahiu.

LZHK condemns the inhumane social policies that encourage and force the abandonment of our national population from the country, to be removed as humane with foreign refugees.

LZHK is on the principle that Albania should follow policies of very good relations with Italy, which lie in the foundations of Europe, and not policies of the interests of the day.

The "Movement for National Development", which has put national capital issues such as national unification at its foundations, follows with great interest the political developments in Eastern Kosovo, as well as the elections. Eastern Kosovo is one of the most long-suffering Albanian territories, because it has been separated from the mother trunk twice.

On June 2, 2024, local elections were held in Eastern Kosovo and fortunately the elections were won by the Albanian subjects. Of course we wish them success.

The Albanian governments in Albania and Kosovo have a national obligation to support the Albanian municipalities in Eastern Kosovo in all directions. This support should not remain in emotional limits but take the form that all serious nations give to their compatriots: allocate a special annual financial budget and not campaign budgets.
