Full post:
The new science bill guarantees the destruction of scientific research by centralizing and controlling it from politics and putting it at the service of power.
A new ministry for science, a council with 7 ministers, Gjinush and his people and state agencies will control every professor, every scientific researcher and every scientific work in the country.
They are eradicating any university autonomy, stripping professors, departments, doctoral schools of their powers and monopolizing it to the government.
Only in party-state systems, it happens, as this law has provided, that the evaluation of scientific work is done by the ministry, that is, by the party and the state. There is no funding if the government did not like it, there is no scientific research that opposes certain economic, social, agricultural, technological, etc. policies.
This law is expected to be discussed on October 14 in the Education committee that I lead, but now that they have excluded us without regulation, it seems that they will quickly pass it without the opposition, in order to destroy scientific and academic freedom.
I call on the lecturers, free academics, scientific researchers, leaders of public and private universities to unite against this murderous bill for academic freedom and disrupting quality and independent scientific research.
