"Rama borrowed 5 billion euros", Berisha: Every child born today is

The head of the Democratic Party, Sali Berisha, continues to accuse the Prime Minister, Edi Rama, of taking all the power in his hands.

From Klosi, where he presented the candidate of the "Together We Win" coalition, Bedri Hoxha, Berisha said that from 2013 until today, Rama has taken 5 billion euros in debt.

According to him, this means that every child born today is born with a debt of 4300 euros.

"From 2013 until today, Edi Rama has received 5 billion euros in debt. With 5 billion euros, salaries in Albania could be increased 6 times, salaries could be increased 3 times, and so could pensions.

With 5 billion euros, every child born today is born with a debt of 4,300 euros. With 5 billion euros, the Albanian village, Albania would be a completely different country. Here I am only talking about the debt, I am not talking about the taxes that were doubled, I am not talking about the fees, fines and other sources of income.

What happens to us? Why are we today the last in line for salaries and pensions in the Balkans. In 2013 we were at the top, it was an achievement of our life, of everyone's life. We have really been poor, we have been mired in poverty for decades and centuries, but we managed to get paid better than all the other peoples of the Balkans in 2013.

This trend did not continue, on the contrary, prices increase every year, inflation increases every year. Just from last year to this year, within 1 year, food prices have increased by 12%, according to official statistics. So in 8 years, not only do we not get the salary of 2013, but we get at least 30% less purchasing power, than what we bought with that salary in 2013", said Berisha .
