Zhupa: Manastirliu is putting the "pick" on education as well
The deputy of DP, Ina Zhupa, has accused the Minister of Education, Ogerta Manastirliu, describing her as the cause of the collapse of education in the country.
Ina Zhupa stated that the reform of Manastirli is aimed at adding as many patrons as possible and not to increase teaching capacities.
Speaking at the protest against the political arrest of the opposition leader Sali Berisha, Zhupa said that education remains one of Albania's dramas, while teachers are neglected by this system.
"I want to share my congratulations to the students and teachers who started the new school year today. Today, they teach as in the distant year 1991, not having modern conditions. Albania, comparing it with the Pisa test, is lower than Palestine, which is at war.
The reform that Manastirliu is doing is aimed at adding as many patrons as possible and not at increasing teaching capacities. Teachers today buy less from the food basket as inflation has destroyed the pay rise they receive today.
This is a system that is ruining education, it is ruining the teacher, and today 125 thousand children are absent from school, 295 9-year-old schools have been closed and this is the drama of Albania.
We will have to make our alternative for 2025 known to every teacher, every Albanian and every family member because DP will stand for education, for the student for the teacher and we will restore the dignity of education in Albania."
