Enkelejd Alibeajt announced today his resignation from the leadership of the DP and the parliamentary group, after the failure in the local elections of May 14, where he could not win any municipality.  

After this decision, Gazment Bardhi came out in a reaction in the capacity of Secretary General of the DP of vula.

Through a public statement, he announced that he called an emergency meeting with Jorida Tabaku, who is the vice-president of the DP and as such can replace the president for as long as one is absent.

"According to Article 46 of the Statute, in the prolonged absence of the chairman and with his authorization, one of them replaces the Chairman. In the absence of this authorization, including cases of resignation from the position of the President, the General Secretary convenes the National Council, which commands the Vice-President who will lead the Party until the return of the President to office or the election of the new President," wrote Bardhi among others.

However, it seems that Bardhi has a reason why he published this statement. Sources of Politiko.al indicate that Tabaku has refused to take over the leadership of the party as the commanding chairperson of the DP.

Likewise, the same sources clarify other details from behind the scenes of the resignation, as Alibeaj had asked to leave the leadership of the party to the Presidency, consisting of Jonila Godole and Taulanda Jupit. Therefore, for this reason, Bardhi has been forced to issue a public statement on the replacement of Alibejat.
