Prosecutor Kledian Llaho suspended from duty for favoring his father-in-law with

Kledian Llaho, acting prosecutor at the Government sending amendments to the organic insurance law to the Parliament for approval, has been suspended from duty, at the request of SPAK.

Llaho is suspected of having committed the criminal offense of "Passive corruption of judges, prosecutors and other justice officials" with the aim of favoring his father-in-law.

The measure "suspension of the exercise of a public duty or service" has been imposed on him.

"The Special Prosecutor's Office against Corruption and Organized Crime has registered criminal proceedings no. 73 of 2024* for the criminal offense "Passive corruption of judges, prosecutors and other justice officials", provided for by Article 319/ç of the Criminal Code.

On January 6, 2025, the name of the person under investigation, magistrate K.Ll, acting as prosecutor and at the same time head of the Prosecution Office at the Court of First Instance of General Jurisdiction, Saranda, was registered, suspected of committing the criminal offense "Passive corruption of judges, prosecutors and other officials in the judiciary", provided for by Article 319/ç of the Criminal Code.

At the request of the Special Prosecution Office, the Special Court of First Instance for Corruption and Organized Crime, with decision no. 3, dated 14.01.2025, has decided:

The imposition of the personal security measure "suspension of the exercise of a public duty or service", provided for by Article 242 of the Code of Criminal Procedure, on the person under investigation, K.Ll.

From the analysis of the investigative actions carried out within the framework of this criminal proceeding, in summary, it has resulted that:

The person under investigation, magistrate, K.Ll, is suspected of having committed acts of a corrupt nature, seeking irregular material benefits, from which his father-in-law, citizen. V.GJ, would directly benefit, and there are suspicions of unlawful actions also in relation to other persons. Magistrate K.Ll, in his capacity as prosecutor of criminal case, no. 774/2021 and that with no. 720/2024, is suspected of having abused his function ," the announcement states.
