France takes a point against Poland, takes second place in Group D

The France-Poland match, valid for Group D, the last of the group stage in Euro 2024, ended with a 1-1 draw.

The first half was quite calm. In the 56th minute, it was Mbappe who scored to give France a 1-0 lead.

In the same way, Poland also found the goal, after Dayot Upamecano in the 76th minute caused illegal interference inside the area.

The penalty shot by Lewandowski was initially saved by Maignan, but it was repeated after he had stepped off the line and in the second attempt the Polish striker made no mistake for 1-1.

There were no chances to stand out until the referee's final whistle and France managed just one point to qualify second in the group after Austria's win over the Netherlands.
