Journalist Baton Haxhiu has opposed the imprisonment of Fredi Beleri, the mayor of Himara.
Invited to 'Çim Peka Live', Haxhiu said that the government's decision to imprison Beler will ignite an ethnic problem with Greece.
"What happened, which is very wrong, I have warned that this will not end with an imprisonment but with a clash of Albanian-Greek relations for the reason that Albania, from the entire region, has been the only country without ethnic problems.
You cannot live on an island without any ethnic problems and not be influenced by the surrounding countries. One of the reasons why Beleri does not want to be jailed and made a hero is precisely this ethnic problem that Albania has never had behind and won with Beleri."
